We are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our mental health team in Stafford / Redwoods

Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist – Mental Health

Location: Stafford / Redwoods
Banding: Band 7 / 8a (Depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 (Part-time hours may be considered)

Job Role: We are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our mental health team in Stafford / Redwoods. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health pharmacy services, with previous experience in a hospital or mental health setting being essential. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide expert medication management, ensure patient safety, and support the mental well-being of those in care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services for mental health patients, ensuring safe and effective medication management.
  • Conduct medication reviews and assist in the development of care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Offer expert advice on the use of psychotropic medications and other relevant treatments.
  • Support the mental health team with complex cases and contribute to patient care discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with medication-related legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor patients’ medication use, side effects, and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Conduct educational sessions for staff and patients on medication-related topics.

Essential Experience:

  • Prior experience working in a mental health or hospital pharmacy setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of mental health medications, including psychotropic drugs.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • A passion for patient-centered care and improving the overall well-being of individuals under your care.

I feel I would like to give a positive review on working for ENS in any care capacity. I joined at the start of December 2015 and have been offered enough work to fit around my own needs and other commitments. The work has been varied and I received good information prior to the visit. The excellent dedicated back office support staff and they clearly understand their clients’ needs which are aligned to the qualities of the Support Workers, this helps builds the relationship.
