Who am I: I live at home with family members. I like to people watch, and I enjoy fun activities. Such as bowling or going to the garden centres and cafes and your help to support me to attend college twice a week where I learn all types of new skills. I do not like balloons and plastic cutlery, but when I am content, I will giggle a lot.

Pay rate: £12.21

Shift pattern: Client requires support on Tuesdays & Thursday 09.00 – 17.00

I do not like balloons and plastic cutlery, but when I am content, I will giggle a lot.

What do I need: I require an experienced support worker, who is patient and understanding to support me as I am not able to communicate verbally, I can use basic Makaton to communicate with you, so will need you to be able to use basic Makaton to communicate with me. I will require your assistance with personal care and would need you to hold my hand when we are out.

You must be a car driver with a full UK driving licence so that I can access the community for fun days out.

This post is only open to female staff only as it involves personal care; Occupational Requirement (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9 Part I).

You will need some experience …

To apply for this role, you will need to have at least 6 months previous experience in the UK in the care sector, supporting individual(s) with physical and learning disabilities.You will have excellent communication skills, be committed to quality & support with everything that you do and be able to demonstrate excellent values, behaviours and attitudes whilst supporting our clients

Flexibility is essential in order to provide cover when needed

You will need to be a car driver with business insurance to enable our client to access the community.

I feel I would like to give a positive review on working for ENS in any care capacity. I joined at the start of December 2015 and have been offered enough work to fit around my own needs and other commitments. The work has been varied and I received good information prior to the visit. The excellent dedicated back office support staff and they clearly understand their clients’ needs which are aligned to the qualities of the Support Workers, this helps builds the relationship.

While there is a need for help at short notice to meet the company needs I have been further impressed to have good notice of most of the work intended. My role has been largely Community Support but I have worked with our Residential team and clearly there is plentiful work again with helpful support.
